Minecraft Java Edition mods and Minecraft Bedrock Edition add-ons use different ecosystems. A standard Tinkers' Construct jar is not a Bedrock package, so copying it into Bedrock storage does not convert it into a working add-on.
Java mods and Bedrock add-ons are different package types
Java mod loaders work with Java Edition and loader-specific mod files. Bedrock uses its own add-on and behavior/resource pack systems, so the files are not directly interchangeable.
Do not download renamed Java files as “Bedrock ports”
A changed filename or archive extension is not evidence of compatibility. Bedrock content should be packaged for Bedrock and described with the platform and game version it supports.
Look for feature equivalents, not exact identity
On Bedrock, a practical alternative may reproduce some ideas—custom tools, material tiers, or progression—without being the same project or using the same mechanics.
Back up Bedrock worlds too
Add-ons can affect world behavior and stored content. Export or copy important worlds before testing a new add-on, especially when it changes blocks, items, or recipes.
Keep platform-specific guides separate
Instructions for Java loaders, Mantle, or Java mods should not be followed as Bedrock installation steps. Use guidance written for the actual platform you are running.
